Beauty Blend is an iOS application for beauty professionals. In this policy, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to the developer of the Beauty Blend app, and “you” refers to the person using it.

This policy covers the Beauty Blend iOS app and this website. If you have a question about anything below, write to us at [email protected].

3. What we collect

We do not collect your personal information, and we do not operate a server that receives your data. There is no sign up, no login, and no user profile.

Data stored on your device

The following is created by you and saved locally on your iPhone. It stays there, under your control:

• Your photos. The before and after images you select from your photo library or capture with the in app camera.
• Your projects. The comparisons you build, including layout choices, blend edge and blur settings, and any watermark you add.
• Your organisation. Project names, the collection each project is filed into, such as Clients, Portfolio or Instagram, and your search and sort preferences.
• Your app settings. Preferences such as default layout and export options.
• Backups. Any backup file you choose to create, saved where you choose to save it.

Data we receive

None of the above is transmitted to us. We have no ability to view, retrieve or recover your projects or photos, because we never receive a copy of them.

4. Permissions we ask for

iOS asks your permission before Beauty Blend can use the following. You can grant or refuse each one, and you can change your mind later in the Settings app under Privacy and Security.

Photo library access

Used for two things: choosing the before and after photos you want to compare, and saving your finished export back to your library. We only read the specific images you select. The app does not scan, index or catalogue the rest of your library, and nothing from your library is sent anywhere.

Camera access

Used for the in app guided camera, which shows an alignment overlay of your before shot so you can frame the after shot to match. Photos taken this way are saved into your Beauty Blend project on your device. The camera is only active while you are using that screen.

5. On device usage statistics

Beauty Blend keeps a small set of counters so it can show you your own usage statistics inside the app, such as how many projects you have created and how many exports you have made.

• These counters are plain numbers, not copies of your content.
• They are stored on your device along with everything else.
• They are not transmitted to us, and there is no third party analytics service, advertising SDK or tracking pixel in the app.

Beauty Blend does not track you across apps or websites, and does not build an advertising profile of you.

6. Purchases and subscriptions

The Pro subscription costs $9.99 per year and is sold through Apple’s in app purchase system, StoreKit. When you subscribe:

• Apple processes the payment. Your card number, billing address and Apple ID credentials go to Apple, not to us.
• We never see, receive or store your payment details.
• The app checks with Apple whether your subscription is currently active, so it knows whether to unlock Pro features. That check tells the app your subscription status, and nothing about who you are.
• Apple’s own privacy policy governs how Apple handles your purchase information.

7. Sharing and third parties

We do not sell your data, share it, rent it or trade it, because we do not have it. There is no advertising network in the app and no data broker relationship of any kind.

The only third party involved in your use of Beauty Blend is Apple, which distributes the app and processes subscription payments.

When you choose to share an exported image, for example to Instagram or to a client by message, that image leaves the app through the standard iOS share sheet and is then handled by whichever app or service you sent it to, under their terms and privacy policies. That is your choice each time, and we are not involved in it.

8. How long data is kept

Your data stays on your device for exactly as long as you keep it there.

• Deleting a project removes it from the app.
• Deleting the Beauty Blend app removes all of its data from your device, including every project, the images stored inside those projects, and your usage counters.
• Photos you saved back to your own photo library, and any backup file you created and stored elsewhere, are not affected by deleting the app. Those remain yours to keep or delete.

Because we hold nothing on a server, there is no copy of your data for us to keep or to delete after you stop using the app.

9. Security

Your Beauty Blend data is protected by the security of your iPhone itself, including your passcode, Face ID or Touch ID, and iOS device encryption. Keeping your device locked and running a current version of iOS is the most effective protection for your projects.

Backup files you create are yours to look after. If you store a backup somewhere shared, such as a cloud drive or a computer used by other people, treat it with the same care you would give the photos inside it.

10. Children’s privacy

Beauty Blend is a professional tool intended for adults working in the beauty industry. It is not directed at children, and it is not designed for use by children under 13.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Since the app collects no personal information from anyone and sends nothing to a server, there is no children’s data for us to hold. If you are a parent or guardian and have a question about this, please contact us.

11. Your rights and choices

Privacy laws in many regions, including the GDPR in Europe and the CCPA in California, give you rights over your personal data, such as the right to access it, correct it, delete it, or take it elsewhere.

With Beauty Blend, you exercise those rights directly on your own device, because you are the only one holding the data:

• Access. Open the app. Everything we could possibly show you is already in front of you.
• Correct or edit. Edit or rename any project at any time.
• Delete. Delete individual projects, or delete the app to remove all of its data at once.
• Take it with you. Export your images, or create a backup file, and move either wherever you like.
• Withdraw permission. Revoke photo library or camera access at any time in the iOS Settings app.

We cannot fulfil a request to hand over or erase data held on our side, because there is no data held on our side. If you would like this explained for a compliance review, we are happy to do so at the address below.

12. Changes to this policy

If the app changes in a way that affects your privacy, we will update this page and change the “Last updated” date at the top. Significant changes will also be noted in the app’s release notes on the App Store. We encourage you to check back after a major update.
